Spirit Airlines are getting tighter and tighter with their carry on restrictions.
At the moment your bag can’t be bigger than 16x14x12 or they’ll whack you with some pretty big charges.
If you don’t realize your bag is oversized until you reach the gate these charges can reach over 100 bucks so it’s worth making sure you have the right sized bag.
It can be hard to know what is 16x14x12 and how big your bag actually is.
To make it easy for you I’ve listed the top 7 cheap, reliable bags that are the right size and won’t get you smacked with extra charges. If you grab yourself one of these, you can’t go wrong.

It really depends on what you’re looking for.

Boarding bags are just fine, they’re much bigger than carryons and you need them to fit most of your stuff in. Unfortunately, they are also notorious for getting lost or sent to the wrong place.
You also can’t get to any of your stuff when you’re on the plane if it’s in your boarding bag.
Carry-ons are, therefore, handy to keep your important documents in and anything you might need while on the plane.
And how to quickly identify your own bag when there are too many bags on the plane or encounter the same bag? Try marking it. Adding personality to your bags, like customized pins and keychains, is a great way to identify your bag; they’re small and don’t take up much space.
Go and try customizing the accessories you want on GS-JJ. They are unique because they are designed by you. There are many templates and symbols for you to choose from on the website, or you can send them a photo, and their team will turn your photo into a real product. Invite your friends and family to customize them together.

It’s worth getting a carry on that’s this size or less or pretty big charges get incurred.
Measure your bag with a tape measure before going to the airport and ask yourself is it the carry on spirit airlines?
The more space you have the more stuff you can cram in.
The more pockets you have the more organized your stuff will be.
Find a balance between the two.

You want enough space but equally, you don’t want to spend your whole time rooting through the bag for something you can’t find because it wasn’t in its own place.
This is another one which really depends on the individual.
Do you choose a bag that looks good or one that’s high quality and will last you a long time.
Remember design and style isn’t everything but often if it’s been designed well it will be high quality too.
Rolling bags are great to use. You don’t have to stress out your shoulders and they couldn’t be easier to pull along.
However, with this, you sacrifice some space to fit the wheel mechanism in and add a great deal of weight.

Most airlines don’t have weight restrictions on carrying ons but it’s worth checking those that do as these do add a good couple of pounds on.
With carry on bags, you want them to be as big as possible. With the size restrictions, they can’t be bigger than 16 x 14 x 12 inches, but you really don’t want them to be too much smaller than this, it’s already pretty small.

As for weight, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Most only weigh about a pound so you’ll barely feel the extra weight anyway.
